Wolves
in a sheep’s thong |
|
Despite
performing under the guise of modern day Rocky Horror Show
Candidates, 36c delivered a refreshing set of punk lines with
a unique Sound, posted straight to your ears with some major
velocity.
Dan
wasted little time getting the nakedness underway and kicked
the Set off with 'Waste of time' spurring some immediate
gruesome audience Participation |

Definite
undertones of Greenday, one of their major Influences, showing
throughout 'Girlfriend' and 'Bassline' and 36c only truly come
into their own with 'Slogan', which kicks off some heavy
sticks from Greg, and brings out the bands more gritty, hard
hitting style.
Add
to this, some very animated facial features from Dan, Boydy
with his chicken, and the stunning display of lingerie, and
you can now see 36c more clearly. |
|
The
lads settle down and start to relax as they blaze through
three more sets, and its interesting how John can make playing
bass guitar look about as fascinating as watching paint dry. |

Sol
award of the night has to go to Greg who stormed through the
whole set playing his 36c's off like there was no tomorrow. |
|
For
reasons undisclosed, the lads are seemingly indebted to 'the
great Dave Kent god of the sky' and finished their set with
'We love Dave Kent' which went down favourably with the crowd,
most noticeably Ian-Nice
hair Ian, culminating in Dan doing a spot of audience participation, |

Meanwhile,
Boydy is giving John lessons in 'How to fall asleep whilst
playing bass'
36c,
put themselves firmly under the punk umbrella, but it's a big
brolly, and difficult to pin down
their sound into a set category as the music range diversifies
so broadly. Major influences include Capdown, Good clean fun
and Screechin weasels, and with hard hitting lyrics, sexy
underwear and Boydys foul, these guys kick major punk ass. |
